HIDDENBROOKE... Flight A medalist was John Ciaccio with Rich Osugi second. Flight B medalist was Tamara Chin with Ed Don second. Barry Gong got the closest to the pin on #17. Turns out that #17 was the hardest par 3 on the course with almost all carry over a lake (sorry about that!).

CONGRATULATIONS to Paulette Ciaccio who had a scintillating net 67 to capture the 2010 Club Championship at Poppy Ridge. She edged out John Ciaccio by one stroke!

TOURNAMENTS...We will be scheduling tournaments on a month to month basis for 2011. Our turnout has not justified advanced deposits.

CLUB NOTES...We won the 2010 Valley Club Championship against The Monta Vista Golf Club, a new Federation Club which replaced the now defunct Stockton Chinese Golf Club. However, we lost in the Battle of the Bay at Hiddenbrooke on October 17, 2010 under very wet conditions. A big thank you goes out to Rich Osugi, Robert Nagata, Gary Wada, Terry Wong, Ron Tanizawa, Mike Wu, Ed Don, and Mike Lassiter (from Foon Hay) for representing SCCCGC so valiantly.

The 2011 Valley Cup Championship will be arranged by the Monta Vista Golf Club on the 3rd weekend of August. Let's get ready to defend our title! The Battle of the Bay will follow on the 3rd weekend of September.

Other Clubs

The Federation of Chinese Golf sponsors The Battle of the Bay Championship which vies for the top federation member club in the greater bay area.

SCCCGC is in its 41^st year with a membership that turns out for the monthly tournaments. If you are interested in finding out more about the club, contact the webmaster below and he will forward your name to the membership chairman.

SCCCGC is not associated with a single golf course, but plays its yearly schedule at an eclectic variety of courses within the greater San Francisco Bay Area. The club has one tournament each month from March to November, highlighted by the September Club Championship.

In addition to golf, members participate in a Chinese New Year's Dinner as well as the Club Annual Dinner where the winners receive their rewards from the Club Championship.

SCCCGC is a member club of NCGA, Northern California Golf Association, and a member of the Federation of Chinese Golf Clubs.
